History enthusiasts are stating that Bandara Miskiy, which is nearing 100 years of age, must be protected and that it is a significant structure connected to the religious, historical, and cultural heritage of the Maldives.

Hafiz Graduation Ceremony
Malé - March 1, 2026: President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu presented certificates of recognition last night to 31 individuals who successfully memorized the Holy Quran and achieved the rank of Hafiz. This marks the ceremony with the largest number of Hafizes to graduate simultaneously in the Maldives.
